Finally, after all the toil and struggle of designing this skin (haphazardly =P), I proudly unveil it in all its glory!!! Thanks to everyone whom answered my urgent queries and whom have contributed to the idealisation and realisation of this skin.

peer pressure

so there's a bunch of people around you. good or bad, up to your imagination to decide what these people are.

for good or for bad, are you going to be exactly like them? if they study their asses off, are you going to study your ass off too? if they smoke, are you going to smoke too?

JLs, this is where i tell you not to succumb to peer pressure. because if you do, you're ultimately the person next to you. and then you might as well give your red shirt to that guy next to you. YOU should be the one to influence people, not the other way around.

hey everyone. some publicity for VJC guitar ensemble here. 22 May at 7.30pm (which is after prelims, supposedly), they're having a concert thingy. and tickets are 10 bucks. if anyone's interested in going, then tag, or let me know. =D

Hey people!!

Now that the blog is up and going, let me update you on the next upcoming event. The JL & SL BBQ. Yes, most of you guys would have already known but for those who do not, here are the details. We will be having the BBQ on the 21/03/09. It is a Saturday and will be held in the evening. Timing and cost is not confirmed yet. We will inform you when it is confirmed. Most likely, we will go for bowling first and then return to school for the BBQ. However, this is still tentative. For this to work, we need to confirm the number of people coming. So pleaseeee inform me on whether you can make it ASAP!!! Latest by 10/3. Cause i need to make the preparations by then!

For SL's, as per tradition, you do not have to pay! However, pls inform me if you can make it so that i can make the necessary arrangements!

I've decided to reopen this blog seeing how the current Sec3 JLs are unable to get their information across.The attendances for the various events you guys were involved in is Pathetic.Maybe it's because you can't get your messages across,or you just have the 'why should I care' attend.All of you are JLs for a reason.If you think that being enthu during VeloCI-T and getting your red shirt makes you a leader,you are mistaken.I'm not even sure if this blog will serve its purpose with your batch,but I'm hoping for the best.Perhaps it's time for you guys,as JLs,to think about what you have done for VS in the pass 2~3 months in the capacity for a Student Leader.Only through reflection,we can learn and realise how we've grown,and perhaps realised that we'd left a part of us burried behind,the part of being a Student Leader.JLs,I implore you,please,do your basic role as a Student Leader.

VeloCI-T 2008

Hi people!

Mr Siow just announced the Veloci-T date to us after E.Maths paper.For those of you who missed it,it's from 10-15 of Nov.At the same time,the teachers will be selecting around 20 red shirts to attend this year's Veloci-T.However,only 10+ will be promoted to black shirt.A list if criteria to be met will be given once Mr Siow discussed with Mr Maran and Mdm. Tang.According to Mr Siow,all red shirts shortlisted by the current black shirts will attend the camp (Not so sure about this as the teachers will too have to approve).So,till more details are given,study hard and play hard!!(After Exams thou=) )

The people attending the earlier session should take note that you are interviewed on a first-come-first-serve basis, thus if we do run out of time you will have to wait for the later session.

It's that time of the year again where applications for Senior Leadership are open.

Keep a lookout for the application forms on this page or the VS homepage. It will be up by the first week of the June holidays. The procedure for applying will be as follows:

1. Download application form from this blog/ VS homepage.
2. Fill in application form online by 20th June.
3. Submit to slapplication08@gmail.com

Following that, successful applicants will be requested to attend an interview at a yet-to-be-decided date sometime in July.
